From A-Z all about me.

This is me, finally I’ve put up a photo. Now youc an see the writing you’re reading about and talking to.

I am a reader and a writer (which if you’ve read any of my blog posts you’ll already know). I am 25 years old. I have an amazing partner, but sadly, this blog isn’t about him. Even though I could talk about him all day. It’s about me and writing and other writers.

I live in Canada, a beautiful country that gets super freezing in the winter and boiling hot in the summer. I come from a small town where you knew almost everyone and you could walk from one end to the other in less than an hour.

I love writing and reading and books and painting and libraries. I am human, but identify as a human book (yes I’m aware it was not funny). I laugh at my own jokes because someone has to. And my debut is out now. You can buy it on Amazon and in the kindle store. Yes, that’s right. I’m finally a published author.

I am a total people-person, I love people, which is to say that I love good people. Good thing too because it’s how I’ve met a lot of my writerly friends. I think people can be great, that is, they have the potential for greatness and most of the ones I have met have been amazing. People have the capacity for good, whether or not they are. It’s about fighting off the bad we all contain inside.

People are also complicated, as I am. I am usually happy, or I try to be, but if I see someone upset or hurting it brings me down too. I hate to see people hurting, it hurts me. I never pretend to be something I am not because if it isn’t me then it isn’t worth it.

I can be very sassy and have known to throw it around from time-to-time, but who doesn’t right? Everyone has a sassy side that is particularly saucy for them. And hey, (puts hands up) I don’t judge. I can be just as sassy as the next guy, honest. I am not ashamed of it, I have my good days and my bad days.

Writing is a very important part of my life and I am very serious about it. I wish to have a serious writing career in my future. I have nothing published yet, but I have written a few shorter novels, short stories and I am working on a book series right now too.

I watched a really good movie once and I love this quote from it, I live by this quote and if you think about it, it really does make your life so much easier. I think it tells you that if someone does not fit into one of those categories then there is no reason for them to be in your life.

You like because... and you love despite...

This quote means that you like someone because of qualities they have, but you love them despite some qualities they have. And honestly, if someone doesn’t fit into one of these categories then maybe they are doing more harm then good in your life.

I myself, have lost friends because they were making life more difficult for me, whereas friends don’t do that, no matter how good they are or how many you have. Friends are there to share your burdens with you and help you cruise through life much easier and at a much faster pace.

I am not proud or happy that I lost them, but like some relationships, some friendships just have a shorter course than others do. And when they end, you don’t need that person anymore and they don’t need you.

I do have a bit of a problem with authority figures, but only if they push me on something or continuously blame me for stuff that was not my fault. It makes me mad.

I have been writing pretty seriously since I was in 9th grade. I founded the writing club at my school and it really got me into writing. At first I was just dabbling because I liked creating stories for English class in school, but writing club really got me into testing myself to see what I could come up with. Writing club and it’s members are the reason I am a full-fledged writer today, with a few completed manuscripts under my belt.
