Hello lovelies!

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in my writing and reading life. Hope you enjoy your stay!

Editing! | The Bed Frame Is Finally Set Up | Office Space

Gooooooood morning beauties,

it is so great to be here with you yet again. I do realize I missed Friday’s post, but it was for good reason. I assure you. There were some issues at work is all I’ll say. Anyway so yes as the title states I have gotten back into editing. The end of chapter 1 is looming and I’m beginning to wonder if maybe it is too long? I hope it isn’t dragging, but I won’t know until I finish it will I? And yes, my bed frame is also finally put together in our master bedroom which means I am officially no longer sleeping on a mattress on the floor anymore. So yay!

The office space is beginning to come together, though from my Twitter post only a small corner has so far been completely cleared, though since that time it is now housing an array of items which I’m not yet sure what to do with. So it was clear, but there is now a slight clutter about it. But everything is going smoothly and unpacking is going well. I am writing to you from a comfy place in my bed with a hot cup of coffee next to me beginning my day.

I wanted to get back to you earlier today not just because I felt I have a lot to say, but as a way of trying to make up for Friday’s absence. The apartment is coming together nicely. I’m getting acquainted with the building and the ambassador who is so nice it makes me want to cry. I hadn’t realized some people were actually that nice. It’s certainly a breath of fresh air. I think this place will be good for my partner and I. Not so stifling as the other place began to feel and we have a lot more space to grow into.

So editing has been going well. I’ve also picked up a book I put down a long time ago, too long ago. I had forgotten about it. I haven’t finished it, but as soon as I spotted it tucked away in a box I remembered the reason why I had put it down in the first place. It had made me cry. It’s a sad book of a real man’s life hanging in the balance and how he chooses to deal with that with the time he has left. I read two chapters before bed last night and the rest of the stories and wisdom tucked away inside the covers is all coming back to me and it’s making me sad again. But I figure if that man can live through this, then I can live through reading it and finish it to the end.

It’s a really good book and once I am done reading it. I will give it a review and post it here as I do think it’s a really important book and more people should read it. It’s called The Last Lecture. I will insert a link for anyone who might want to check it out anyway without my review or thoughts on it. There is more than one addition, but the link sends you to the copy that I own.

I’ve also been thinking a lot about my book covers for my thriller trilogy and my partner and I want to try something out to see if it works. We’re very excited for all that is to come when our office is finally set up. You guys may look forward to us streaming together. It will be different content. Sometimes book-related or my writing-related, but others will be the two of us gaming together. But I think it will be fun as well as move us both forward in our platforms.

Yes, lots of change happening in my life right now and usually I end up feeling very anxious about change, even detecting it, but I’m actually really enjoying it. It feels good, like my life is finally beginning to start, or at least the life I want to have. And beginning in May I will only be working 3 days a week at my day job which will be so nice. No more evening shifts so I can actually call it a day job. Lots of good things happening and I’m really excited about it.

Well, I think that’s it for me today you guys, I know it’s a long one today, but hopefully, that means there’s more to enjoy! Thank you so much for being here with me during this erratic time in my life where it feels like everything has flipped on its head and everything is changing. I hope I’m making things interesting for you. It’s been great to have you to talk to about all this. You all mean so much to me. And I do still plan on having my first newsletter come out next month talking about these kinds of changes and hopefully by next week, I’ll be able to give you a picture of what my office will sort of look like for the future of my platform. And my partner and I will also discuss streaming times and dates and begin setting up for that.

It’s so great to have you here. Lots of love! I’ll miss you. Please comment below if you’re moving and how it’s going or if you’ve decided to stay where you are and why. Have you begun reading any powerful books? Or have you recently picked up a book you’d put down a while back determined to finish it? I would so love to hear from you. Happy reading and writing. Until next time buys, bye.
