Hey guys,
I have missed you all so much. I know I missed last week. I was really trying to get to the computer and get to a place mentally where I would be able to write a post for you all as I did not have one scheduled to upload. But it didn’t work out the way I was wanting. I still haven’t even put together my Janurary TBR and we’re already about halfway through January so. The years started off a bit rocky to say the least. I’ll explain more, but just know I am very excited to be back to my old self and be back on here.
So 2023 began with a bang (or several bangs). This group I’m part of had a few tragedies and the New Years Eve party I attended left me more socially and mentally tapped then I had planned, but it was one hell of a night and I regret nothing. I had to ring in the New Year with a big bang as I did nothing for 2022, 2021, or 2020. So I needed to celebrate.
But that led to a lot of time off of everything. I spent most of my time writing or trying to write as my goal was to have the most recent draft of my WIP finished for the group I’m part of to read and I was behind. So that’s all I had energy for, everything else slipped. I slept so much, then I had a week of Christmases and I lost so much sleep, then when I had time to sleep, I was unable to. It was a whole thing. But things are getting back to normal. Finally.
I am finally feeling normal, I’m sleeping and I’m feeling good. Also school started so I’ve been getting acquainted with my new classes and the workload and reading requirements. And there is a lot.
So I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately to get ahead so that when I fall behind I won’t fall as far behind. Plus I’ve started reading some graphic novels and I’m trying to get caught up on manga, plus I’m reading some books from authors part of the group I’m in. So I’ve been reawakening my love of reading. Plus I always have an audiobook going on my phone. And I hope to get a January TBR for you in the next week or so. But hopefully sooner.
I’ve been keeping myself very busy with reading and I’ve started planning a new project since my current WIP is with betas right now. It’s going to be part of my heartbreaking romance series. Steamy, consuming, romantic reads, that don’t end in HEA. I know I may get a lot of hate for it. But I think it’s time we start normalizing the fact that not every relationship is going to last forever or is even meant to last forever. Sometimes a relationship is there to give you what you need, but isn’t supposed to last and will inevitably end. But I think it’ll find its audience with a little help. And I am very excited about this series!
