Marketing Tips For Beginners | You Gotta Start Somewhere

Marketing Tips For Beginners | You Gotta Start Somewhere

Hello yet against beauties,

This is a special one today. It’ll be my first time giving advice on any marketing aspects. But I think it’s important to talk about even if my marketing journey is just beginning. Being a writer who wants to be published or have lots of people read your work, marketing is absolutely necessary. It’ll get you to the readers that want to buy your books.

So I have some tips for you guys.

  • Watch what others are doing - the style they use, the way they use it. You can mimic this

  • Follow trending hashtags on social media - these can be a lifesaver. Hashtags mean how many people see your posts about your work.

  • Don’t stop, Never stop - it doesn’t matter how impossible it feels or if you feel like you’ll never get there. Don’t stop because I promise you, months after a release, a year after, two years after, you could get the sales you’re looking for. In the meantime keep writing, keep marketing and never give up. I’ve heard of so many success stories where an author’s book doesn’t really take off until a year or two after it’s been out in the world. Don’t give up.

  • Don’t get caught with copyrighted material - there is a lot of free material out there that you can use for these purposes without being caught by copyright and being charged for it or penalized for it. Which will cost you more money. Canva is a great place to start!

  • Put yourself into it - don’t shy away from who you are. Be yourself and put yourself into what you do. What do you love? To do, to write, to see? Then post about it.

  • There is no such thing as too much - you can never post too much on social media. The more you post the more chances you have for new potential readers to find you and the more you pop up the more chances you have of striking their fancy and gaining a new follower.

These are just a few, but I figured I should share some of the wisdom I’ve gained through my years of just being part of the writing community and the social media scene.

Short and sweet, but thank you so much for stopping by and I hope these tips help you! Happy reading and writing! Until next time.
