Good Morning All,
What does your main character think of before they fall asleep? When they are lying in bed alone in the dark (or near-dark if they are afraid of the dark) and how does it make the feel before they drift off?
My story piece to go along with this is actually from a current character I am working on in a series of books I am writing.
The night was cool and crisp tonight and he held me close, pushing all cold from my mind and bringing out in me an all-consuming love and desire. His hands, first holding my face to his then tangling in my hair, pulling me ever closer to the warmth within him.
I could never say no to him, couldn’t even think it. I need him too much to argue about anything. I pulled him close and wrapped my arms around his big frame, wishing I could stay there in his arms forever. My hands gripped his shoulders as his lips travelled down my neck and over my chest, pushing me further and making me need more.
I open my eyes and stare at the moon just outside my window. I try to change the subject of my thoughts, but it is impossible with him sleeping only two doors down in his own room. He has me held captive in every way and all I can do is thank him for it.
I pull my legs up and curl into a fetal position, preparing for a long, sleepless night, before darkness descends.
Hey, hope you enjoyed my take on this prompt! Have a great writing or reading day.
