Favourite Reads From 2022

Good evening guys,

I know, it’s bee a while since I’ve done an evening one. I’ve been getting into the routine of posting in the morning, but this one is already a bit late and I’d prefer it not be any later than it is.

These are, by no means inn Order, but I thought I would highlight the short list of my absolute favourites form this year. Ones that I think have earned a rating higher than five stars. They were absolutely brilliant and such great, captivating reads that will remain on my favourites shelf and will definitely be read again in the future.

A very dark, kinky, thrilling romance. Check trigger warnings if you are going to pick up th9is book because there are some dark elements within the pages, but I couldn’t stop reading it. Absolutely loved it. It took over my life whenever I opened it, consuming all my attention.

If you like spice, and love, and betrayal and conspiracies, you’ll love this book. It’s the perfect balance of all these things. And there is more than one betrayal and more than one conspiracy. But check triggers just in case. This book gets close to a few unsavoury topics.

I loved the whole series and cannot wait for book four to come out. Very heavy on the spice and on the relationship, especially with reference to others around them and the other gods themselves.

Fell in lvoe wit6h this book and this mystery. I couldn’t stop reading. I needed to know what happened to her. Loved, loved, loved. And the twist at the end, did not see coming.

This book was fantastic. It was real, thrilling, scary, creepy, and seemed real. But there are some dark themes in here including being inside a serial killer/rapist’s mind. So tread carefully with this one. But I think it’s a real important read. Gets dark, but is well worth the read. I didn’t want to stop reading it until the content forced me to take a break and think over what happened and come back to myself before continuing. And the twist at the end did not see it coming. Loved.

Read this book again and still loved it. It’s fantastic. It’s a great ‘dip your tow in’ kind of book if you’ve never read psychological thrillers before. It’s a little on the shallower side and doesn’t have any blatant true crime within. Absolutely love this book. And it’s indie.

This book was so good. It’s about writers and death and mistakes. Is thrilling and you’re not sure who is going to make it out alive, if any of them do. What would you be able to come up with if you were forced to write a novel in summer starting from scratch?

Loved this book. One of my favourites. This couple is so good together. I enjoyed reading this book and I expect I’ll enjoy reading it again. Is a fantastic classic chicklit, but with the spice turned up a bit.

Absolutely fantastic read! Saucey, enemies-to-lovers with a smart-ass love interest. This book is a wild ride and you’re not sure if things will work out.

I loved this entire YA series about witches. Though, the later in the series you read, the better the books get. And the more elements they tend to have. This one, for example has a lot more mystery elements than the first few books and certainly a lot more action than previous books. Loved this whole series. And it’s indie.

This book is very spicy and very modern and also adds in the thrill of a murder mystery. Perfect spicy read if you don’t care for straight romance or straight spice.

Such a great mystery duology. Absolutely loved them both. There are some dark things between these two families and the more you uncover about their connection, the stranger things get. Plus, what is up with that creepy house across the street? And what happened there that keeps her coming back, but makes her mother worried about letting her out of the house? And it’s indie.

This book was fantastic and made me cry. This man and his dreams and his tragic end to life made me hope that I can accomplish all the things I want to in my life. Though, it seems impossible considering I keep adding new goals for myself. Amazing and inspiring.

Absolutely fell in love with these two. They are perfect, cute, adorable. And just didn’t want it to end. It was perfect, cozy, super sweet. A YA romance novel. Loved it to pieces.

Loved this book, it was fantastic. LGBT+ romance with fantastical creatures and a world about to fall apart unless someone (or a group of someones) saves it from impending hell and destruction. And, it’s indie.

This book was so good, so steamy, spicy. I finished the audiobook in one shift at work. It was so good. And I will be reading it again. It is fantastic. It has group scenes and public play.

Fell in love with this cozy mystery series and will be continuing the series and reading it again. It’s great, plus it has something I love coffee.

Lots of spice and a healthy modern relationship. Loved, loved, loved. It was fantastic.

This book was amazing. A dying woman’s last wish is to finish her book for her family, but she needs help to do it. Will it get finished? Or will she die before he types the end?

Thank you so much for following this post! These are my absolute favourites from 2022. Ones that I highly recommend to others who like reading certain genres.

Have a great day. Happy reading and writing. Until next time.
