Good morning beauties,
Yes, I realize I didn’t post yesterday. I’ve been very tired lately, going to bed early and waking up later to compensate for the extra energy I’ve been exerting lately. And it seems this 6 day weeks will be going on for a while yet. So I just hope I can prevent anymore misses or slip ups, but I’m going easy on myself. I’ve been working very hard trying to make time for everything I want to do and I think I’ve been doing pretty good job of it too.
So, as you already know I haven’ been writing much, but I have been reading more to make up for the lack of writing time or lack of energy for writing. Plus I’ve agreed to beta read for another writer and to review another author’s book as well as I’ve also agreed to critique for yet a different writer. So I’ve been doing a lot of writerly-related things, if not writing. One of those projects is nearly finished, I think I’ll be finishing it up this week then there won’t be quite so much on my plate. But that’s a lot of reading.
I have surpassed the books I need to read for this month to reach my goal. I think I’m about 2 books ahead and I’m about to finish another so, lots of reading going on here and lots of reading I plan to do. There are so many books I want to read. So I thought I’d update you guys on my TBR as it is now and which reads I plan to tackle first and I hope to buy a few new books (which was to be part of my Christmas gift to myself and which I have yet to get).
So, as of right now (though some of these are nearly finished), this list below is my current immediate TBR and I did add a few compared to the previous list as I wanted to begin reading a couple new series:
Secret of the Old Clock Nancy Drew Mysteries Book 1
Sword of Destiny The Witcher Book 2
Cupcakes and Crime: Gold Valley Mysteries Book 1
Sorceress Spellcaster Series Book 3
Tapas, Carrot Cake, and A Corpse
City of Wishes
Wicked Good Witches Book 1
Demons Forever in the Shadow Demons Series by Sarra Cannon
And I’m hoping to add in a novel by V. E. Schwab soon also as her novels seem amazing and I’ve heard good things.
Anyway, those are the changes to my TBR as of late and I hope to finish at least a few before my next update so I can add a few new ones for you guys to see. I also have a multitude of genres here ranging from mystery, cozy mystery, to fantasy, to thriller with a hint of romance in most because I love a good romance subplot.
Thank you for hanging out, for being interested in my posts and for being part of my community here. I love having you and I missed you last night. I missed spending time talking to you guys and updating you. Sadly I’m still very much stuck in the burnout rut, but I’m managing it now. Better days are coming, I can feel it. It might be about a month away, but they are coming and when they arrive I’ll be ready.
Anyway, see you guys, have a good rest of your fay and beginning of your week. Lots of love! Please comment below telling me how you’re managing your burnout, are you also reading extra to make up for the lack of writing? I would love to hear from you about anything. Talk to me about your writing, inspire me to get to writing and push through this difficult time. Tell me what you’re reading, what does your TBR look like? What genres have you included? Have you been reading more non-fiction since covid began? Or are you reading more fantasy to escape the world altogether? Happy reading and writing guys. You can do this I believe in you! Until next time, bye.
