Hey guys,
It’s good to be back. I know that I missed Sunday’s post, but I was feeling out of sorts given the catastrophe going on in the States. And I really was not in my right mind to post anything or even think about posting. But I’m since feeling better and my mind is more focused. Yes, it is very sad what’s happening over there and I feel for those women. I hate the state of the world and how people just keep trying to make it worse. But I cannot think about that right now. I do have some exciting news.
I have made some amazing progress on my edits. Chapter 2 is now finished and I’ve begun chapter 3. Now I realize that all the changes I’ve made to chapter 2 have caused some inconsistencies with chapter 3 and I need to straighten some things out. I will need to basically add in an entire chapter worth of information and action that will fit between the current chapter 2 and chapter 3. But now chapter 3 might become 2 or 3 separate chapters as opposed to just one chapter. It’s going to take so much work.
I began doing that yesterday and was thrilled to find I ended up writing some of my best lines. I am so excited. The romance is already getting hot and I’m loving it. Especially with the added pressure that the place they are staying is not safe. They have to hide the romance. Sex is not outlawed, but romance is unheard of and not a good look for a killer. It’s getting super exciting in that department.
After writing those words yesterday, I just wanted to climb into the pages and stay there with the love interest. Honestly, it was so honest and so beautiful and it felt safe and hot.
So some exciting things are happening in my book and I am beyond happy. Even though editing chapter 2 was difficult. Even though chapter 3 is basically a trainwreck now with the edits I made in chapter 2. It’s okay though, it’s going to be amazing once it’s done. I’m also excited because I think this is just the beginning. I feel like I’m connecting more and more with my characters lately and I’m immersing myself more into their world and what it would be like to be them living like that. Meaning more authenticness is about to spill out.
So now second thing. My partner and I are hoping to set up a stream and stream for the first time. I’m excited! Though like super nervous. I’m also not sure what we’re going to be streaming but we’ll figure that out this morning before anything goes down. But I’m excited. I also plan on doing some of my own streams on writing-related things maybe some write with me streams or editing streams where we can all work together. I’m really excited.
