Good morning guys,
How are you all doing? Honestly, I’ve been losing sleep lately, lots of it, just general anxiety and restlessness is keeping me from regular sleep. Though I can’t be sure what the actual cause is or maybe it’s a combination of things. But I hope you are all well and getting your much-needed beauty rest for your creative minds.
Now, I’ve been doing some research lately as you may have guessed from the subject of some of my newest posts. I came across a bit of interesting information and now I’m curious about just how many people feel this way and don’t write because they feel they need someone to tell them it’s okay.
So I want to tell you something that is important for life in general. You don’t need to ask permission to do something you love doing, something that fuels you, makes you feel inspired or creative or happy, or something that is an outlet for you when everything around you feels crushing or stressful. And if you do, then you need to reevaluate the people in your life. Because if you want to do something all you should have to do is start and when you tell people, they should feel excited for you, not ask why or why you would want to. No one should make you feel like you need to ask permission before you do something like writing.
Now, that being said, if you are one of those people and you still feel like you need the a-okay from someone else. Consider this your yes. If you love it then go after it! Paint that picture, sculpt that figure, mould that clay. I believe in you and I support you. This is your chance. Go after what you want in life and don’t let anyone else get a say. If you want to write, then you write in whatever time you have available for your writing (however little it may be).
Now, if someone doesn’t want you to do writing because of the money aspect. You can use a school computer and save your files there. Or you can ask the school or librarian at school if there is any scrap paper so that you don’t have to use your scribblers or loose leaf for it. And as for pens, you can buy really cheap pens at the dollar store. That’s still where I buy my pens most of the time. They’re cheap and they work really well for weeks at just 2-$3 per pack. And you can start writing your ideas down.
I know this was kind of a short one, but I did want to make this post as I don’t want anyone to never start writing because they felt that maybe no one would say yes or that someone would say no. Writing can be cheap to do, especially for students as a lot of these supplies are being bought for school use already. But the answer should never be no to something so creative, imaginative, and passionate. So if you need a yes, my answer is yes and an enthusiastic one! Go after it! Write what you want! Be who you want.
Alright guys, have a great rest of your day! Lots of love! Happy reading and writing! Until next time.
