COVID-19 Boredom? Solved. Write!

Good evening lovely people,

I know lots of you are probably opting for self-quarantine because you fear the COVID-19 virus, we do not fear boredom in the face of protecting yourself from this spreading virus. Your answer is right in front of you and always has been, perhaps now is the perfect time to pump out that novel that has been living within you for so many years just brewing and waiting for its time to shine. Well, its time is NOW. Don’t let yourself get bored and use every moment you can spare to finish that novel you’ve been bent over, one that’s been getting the better of you. Relax, breathe and now use this extra time you’ve been given to create something positive out of this whole situation.

Just because you’re quarantined (self-induced or not) does not mean you have to waste that time sitting on your couch and worrying non-stop about what could be happening outside. I find that writing often helps me to clear my mind of some of the clutter inhabiting it. Sometimes I even need to write a few random blurbs before I can return to the project at hand, just to let out all the odds and ends floating around in my mind to keep them from getting mixed up in the story I’m trying to create.

I will not be the first, however, to say that sometimes the more time I’m given, the less writing I do. But, I am trying to change that. I have a lot of projects left in me, but if I don’t use the extra time given to me then I’ll never get them all written in my lifetime. So, I’m trying my best to change my ways for the better because the more efficiently I write, the more projects I’ll be able to finish.

Never give up and never waste the time that is given to you, no matter how it is given. I hate being wasteful, so I am striving to waste as little of my time as possible, no matter the case.

Rose Marie
