Hello lovelies!

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in my writing and reading life. Hope you enjoy your stay!

Good Afternoon Good People,

As you may have guessed by the title, yes, I just killed him. It was sad and I hated writing every second of it and I know my readers are going to hate me for killing him because he is one of the best characters. But I knew it needed to be done, his death would make the greatest impact on those around him and would give them the strength, anger and nerve to do what was necessary, what comes next for their adventure.

But however good his death is for the story, that doesn’t make writing it any easier. It took me 6 pages and 3 hours to write one simple death scene, guys. It was a nightmare, it took forever, but ultimately I don’t regret it. It was hard for me, extremely, but I think it helped me also. I think I just started learning how to write an amazing character’s death. I’m sure that I never would have thought about (let alone attempted) to do something like this a few years ago, but here I am. I’m sitting tall, though tears may still stain my cheeks, I am proud of myself and what I’ve accomplished.

Tell me about any times when you’ve had difficulty writing a character’s death in your writing. What did you struggle with most? Did you cry as I did? Did you feel that it made things better or worse? Did it affect other characters? And do you regret going through that pain, or do you think it now worthwhile?

Well, have a great day lovely writing/reading people. And I will see you next time.
